This was a little simple doodle I did with just the brush pens at night. I really like the loose feeling I got with this one. No pencil drawing first just going for it.
Drawing as it was getting dark the brewing storm in the air outside my deck. I used a lot of mixed media with this one. There is the Paintastic Brush Pens, sharpie, but also some colored pencil which went really well over all of it to make the house in particular pop.
This one was done frantically. On my walk to school I saw that jet stream behind the building soo I got up to the spot where I had looked out before and took a quick mental snapshot. I then quickly got my pencil out and sketched the building and also my brush pens. I ended up painting this aand walking to school! It was epic and frantic and oh so much fun!
This is a fun little monster doodle that I told Nicole Cuvin to do. She needed to do a little silly drawing in the midst of all the thesis stress. I love how cute this little guy is.
This was the piece I was working on when a cop drove by and shined his spotlight thinking I was probably up to no good. I drew this sitting under a tree on a grassy knole at Lincoln High School here in Portland. I just had to capture the sky.
This was created by the splotches I was using to clean my brushes with in the dark. I then decided to do a drawing of a tree that was across the way that I liked in sharpie. I really like how it turned out!
This is a doodle I did after walking to class. I was stuck behind this smoking woman while walking to school and found it more than a little annoying. What I did like though was the jacket she was wearing. Once I got to the school I decided to draw the impression she left.
Soo this is more mood board footwork. I decided to make a background for Subtlety. This was some spots to be her background. Made with Paintastic Brush Pens. Oh and I don't have an orange one so I have to blend to get it where I want.
Very different from everything else in here. This one is a little bit more refined. I had fun doing the face of Horus II. In this story he is a golden dragon who has on a headdress that resembles fire. This piece does show how the black ink on the Paintastic Brush Pens tend to not dry and smear to other pages. Maybe later I will clean it up in Photoshop and get rid of some of the splotches but for now here it is. Did it first in a light pencil sketch for the face the face and headdress then took it from there. Also used some purple sharpie on it.
